The Heritage Woods Kodiaks’ senior girls’ volleyball team is proving it is a force to be reckoned with.

For the second time in two weeks, the Port Moodysquad dominated a regional tournament, the latest triumph taking place at last weekend’s Trinity Western University Invitational, where the school went undefeated.

The team easily beat the province’s top-ranked team Kelowna Christian Academy in the final, going 25-9 and 25-15 in successive sets.

Heritage Woods’ Alessandra Gentile earned tournament MVP honors while Emma Jennings was named a tournament all-star.

Last weekend’s final was the second time in two weeks that the Port Moody school dominated at a regional tournament. The week before, at the University of British Columbia Volleyball Class, the Kodiaks defeated South Delta, in a nail-biting final. Heritage Woods took home a championship banner and continue to pile up wins in league play, where the team is undefeated.
