After a five-year absence, the Terry Fox Ravens junior varsity football club is back in the winners circle.

The team took home the provincial AAA championship after an 18-12 victory over the St. Thomas More Collegiate Knights in the finals last weekend.

All of the scoring occurred in the first half, with Dylan Foulds finding the end zone after receiving a 28-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Connor McKee. The Ravens struck again in the second quarter when McKee found Mike West on a 59-yard pass play to extend the lead to 14-0.

In the second half, Fox’s offence dried  up and the Knights were able to get on the board. But the Raven’s defence was able to hold on and secure the the team’s third title.
