The Coquitlam Public Library has added four new online resources to give residents a ton more entertainment and education options.

The library has a new language learning data base, Transparent Language Online, which replaces Pronunciator. It allows users to learn how to listen, speak, read and write in more than 120 languages, including English. It can be learned through a web browser or via the Transparent Language app.

More than 30,000 films will be available through Kanopy which allows library customers to stream up to eight videos per month.

Sesame Street eBooks features the television show’s characters in read-along, eAudio, animated and interactive book formats. Anyone with a valid library card (starting with barcode 22416) can access the Sesame Street eBooks on any device.

And then there’s SOLARO, which stands for Student Oriented Learning, Assessment and Reporting Online. It’s a curriculum resource that allows students to access up-to-date study guides in match, English, sciences and social studies. It includes multimedia and interactive resources and is available on all devices and accessible from home or the library.

An up-to-date Coquitlam library card is required to use the resources, which can be found by going to coqlibrary.ca and clicking the digital content button.
