Teens can get work experience — and mandated volunteer hours — by helping at art camps in Coquitlam this summer.
Place des Arts (1120 Brunette Ave.) seeks volunteers for its Summer Fun! and ArtReach programs.
Summer Fun! runs from July 2 to Aug. 9 and is open for students ages 5 to 14; a two-week commitment is required with full- or half-day shifts available, from Monday to Friday. A mandatory orientation session is tomorrow (Tuesday) from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
For the ArtReach Camp — a one-week program from Aug. 12 to 16 — volunteers are needed for all five days, with full- and half-day shifts open. The mandatory orientation session is on Aug. 8 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
