Port Moody pianist Marina Heisel notched up top marks from Conservatory Canada.
The Grade 9 student at Heritage Woods secondary — who is taught by Coquitlam resident Charlene Dubrule — received three medals of excellence on Sunday for her work over the past year.
The hardware is for: Level 6 Contemporary Idioms piano practical examination (highest mark in B.C.); Theory 1 music theory written test (mark of 100%); and Theory 2 music theory written exam (mark of 100%)
The 14-year-old teen got the medals at the Conservatory Canada British Columbia Provincial Awards ceremony and recital, held at Place des Arts in Coquitlam.
