A South Delta artist has teamed up with a pair of Ladner Village businesses all in an effort to raise funds for Ukrainian relief.

An original sunflower painting by South Delta artist Linda Jones, valued at $1,800, a bath and body care package from Hygge Bath body home, valued at $250 and a Le Creuset casserole, valued at $370 from Vinca’s Kitchen are the three prizes that will be drawn for at the end of the month in this fundraising raffle.

To enter the raffle, purchase a Hygge bar soap or a tea towel from Vinca’s Kitchen.

Jones has several of her paintings on display at Hygee and approached both businesses a few weeks ago with the fundraising idea.

“My daughter and I were talking and we decided that this would be a good thing…a raffle and both Hygge Bath and Vinca’s Kitchen jumped on board,” said Jones. “All proceeds will be going to Ukrainian relief. I think people have been thinking, ‘I have to do something’ and what can I do, so here is a way where the community can support.”

Both Hygge and Vinca’s say that customers have also just offered donations at their stores, which they are also collecting.
