Port Coquitlam will host a Mother's Day tea and fabric painting workshop on May 13.
But the deadline to register closes Tuesday, May 8.
Participants will see artist and retired elementary teacher Donna Polos create a floral fabric art keepsake. She will share some samples of her work using the mediums of crayon and fabric paint.
Select a still life of your mother's favourite flowers to draw, using fabric crayons on cotton. To complete the project, you will paint a watercolour wash on your fabric using fabric paint.
The event at the Leigh Square Community Arts Village (beside PoCo city hall) runs 1 to 3 p.m. and costs $30 per person. To sign up, call 604-927-7529 or visit www.experienceit.ca.
