Environment Canada has once again issued an arctic outflow warning to Metro Vancouver, with wind chill values expected to range between -10 C and -20 C Friday morning.

Cold temperatures are forecast to continue into Saturday morning before temperatures moderate later over the weekend.

“Ensure that shelter is provided for pets and outdoor animals. Be prepared for unusually cold temperatures and strong winds,” warns the national weather agency in its bulletin.

The arctic outflow warning is in effect across Metro Vancouver, from the northeast quadrant, which includes Coquitlam and the rest of the Tri-Cities, across the North Shore and south as far as at the U.S. border.
