According to Earthquakes Canada, a magnitude 4 earthquake struck off the coast of B.C. in the afternoon on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
The agency notes that the seismic event was located 340 km southwest of Port Alice on Vancouver Island. The event took place at 3:28 p.m. and no tsunami warning has been issued as a result.
There are no reports of damage, and none would be expected.
