You can rent a $800 room in Downtown Vancouver as long as you're not scared of heights

Quite the view to wake up to

Another tiny room in Vancouver has opened up...as long as you're cool with heights.

At $800 per month the rent is reasonable, though the space is tiny. The room is a solarium in a downtown Vancouver highrise overlooking the International Village.

And by overlook, we mean the apartment is high enough to use the sundial on top to tell the time (depending on cloudiness).

"This is a cozy & quiet place perfect to live & enjoy your life in Vancouver," states the ad.

Cozy is an apt description. A twin bed barely fits in the oddly shaped room; when pushed against one wall a corner hits the curved outer wall. However, since there is a bit of a bend in the wall, there's room for a small nightstand. The ad also notes there's a small closet included in the rent.

The other big feature of the room is the huge windows. In photos they appear to be floor-to-ceiling with amazing views of the area, looking out over Gastown and to the Port of Vancouver.

"Facing beautiful ocean & mountain scenery with Vancouver lookout, you will see downtown Vancouver from a higher floor," notes the ad.

The ad doesn't share how many people are already living there, only that there are "awesome flatmates."

The $800 does appear to cover all costs, including WiFi, cable and hydro. And while there's not much privacy, there are lots of shared things. The building includes a pool, gym and sauna.
