A worker at a supermarket in Richmond has tested positive for COVID-19.

Loblaws, the parent company of Real Canadian Superstore, reported on its corporate website on Thursday that an employee at its No. 3 Road store has contracted the virus.

According to Loblaws, the last day the employee worked at the store was Thursday, May 6.

The Richmond News reported last month how another worker at the store also tested positive for COVID-19.

“In these cases, we work closely with public health and follow their guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization in our stores,” Loblaws said.
