Port Moody resident wants more support for school breakfast programs
Cena
Cathy Cena is running for school trustee in Port Moody.

Cathy Cena has announced her candidacy for one of two Port Moody school trustee jobs.

The mother of two and vice-president of an academy that teaches debate promises to be a team player who is committed to visiting schools in the city.

Her three priorities will be to support more school breakfast programs, ensure all students have an inclusive learning environment and to lobby for new schools in high-density areas.

Cena is currently vice-president of the Port Moody Arts Centre and Tri-Cities Community TV, and a member of PoMo’s Citizens Advisory Committee and the Eagle Ridge Hospital Gala committee. She was a parent advisor council chair in the Burnaby School district for nine years prior to moving to Port Moody.

The incumbent PoMo trustees, Lisa Park and Keith Watkins, have not announced they're running for re-election but have filed their nomination papers.
