Stephen Abosi set a new meet record in his 60-metre victory at the 2018 Harry Jerome Indoor Games. He will be back next month to defend his title.

Stephen Abosi will return to the Richmond Olympic Oval Feb. 2 to defend his 60m sprint title at the Harry Jerome Indoor Games.

The UBC graduate, who is now a law student at the University of Calgary, is the meet record holder thanks to his winning time of 6.77 seconds a year ago. Abosi hopes to compete internationally for his native country Botswana in the near future.

Run by the Achilles Society, The Jerome Indoor Games is now in its ninth year at the Olympic Oval, considered by some, as one of the most important legacies of the 2010 Olympic Games.

Meet Directors Vincent Doyle and Kim Young expect entries to match the 2018 total of just under 800 in the events which provide opportunities for age group as well as master athletes.
