He is organizing a 60-year reunion for the Grade 6 class of 1959 — Mr. Robert McBay's class — and is hoping to track down as many former students as possible.
"As it will be 60 years this coming spring, we have been working hard on locating our classmates," Meyers told The Tri-City News. "We’ve been fortunate to locate over half and will continue to search for the balance."
Back in 1959, Grade 6 was the highest level at Alderson elementary. Most of the students would have moved on the following year to Winslow Jr. secondary before finishing their final grades at Como Lake Sr. secondary (Centennial secondary was not built yet).
