A Coquitlam resident is $500,000 richer after a lottery win this week.
Marvin Mitchell took the windfall after matching all four Extra numbers in the Sept. 20 Lotto Max draw.
Mitchell checked his ticket at a gas station. “I scanned it, thinking to myself it would be a dollar or something,” he said in a BC Lottery Corp. news release.
He plans to use his extra cash visiting family across North America.
So far in 2019, British Columbians have claimed more than $179 million in lotto prizes, including a record-breaking $60 million ticket bought in Richmond.
