Coquitlam RCMP looking for witnesses in pedestrian collision

Incident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Linton Street and Como Lake Avenue

A 77-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by an SUV at Linton Street and Como Lake Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. and the Coquitlam RCMP said they do not believe speed or impairment were factors in the collision. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and the victim was taken to hospital.

Investigators said they are looking for anyone who saw the collision and may be able to provide information or dash cam footage. Witnesses are asked to contact the Coquitlam RCMP's Criminal Collision Investigation Team at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2018-37702.
