Current Swell, Royal Canoe will perform at Coquitlam's Kaleidoscope Arts Festival

The Kaleidoscope Arts Festival will be held at Lafarge Lake in Town Centre Park on Aug. 10 between 2 and 9 p.m.
Victoria rockers Current Swell will headline the event, performing tracks off of their fifth studio album When to Talk and When to Listen, which was produced by Grammy-winning Jacquire King.

A trio of Canadian indie artists will perform at Coquitlam’s Kaleidoscope Arts Festival at Lafarge Lake this summer.

Victoria rockers Current Swell will headline the event, performing tracks off of their fifth studio album When to Talk and When to Listen, which was produced by Grammy-winning Jacquire King. The band will be joined by Winnipeg Juno-nominated pop act Royal Canoe and Hamilton singer-songwriter Terra Lightfoot.

The Kaleidoscope Arts Festival will be held on Aug. 10 between 2 and 9 p.m. Music will kick off in the afternoon with a performance from DJ Emilita, followed by the live concert at 4:30 p.m.

A second stage will feature a lineup of acrobats, dancers and musicians and the festival will feature artisan markets, a selfie wall, mural painting and a chalk walk.

Food trucks will be offering up a variety of different snacks and the event has a site-wide liquor license.

This is the fourth time the city of Coquitlam has held the Kaleidoscope Arts Festival. Last year, the event was headlined by R&B-pop group The Philosopher Kings and in 2017 Bif Naked performed.
