Coast Meridian Road south of Kingsway Avenue in Port Coquitlam was closed Friday afternoon after a motorcycle and truck collided.
The incident occurred shortly after noon when witnesses said a commercial vehicle turning left into a parking lot struck the bike. Pieces of the motorcycle were scattered across the street and the rider was taken away in an ambulance.
Firefighters, paramedics and police were on scene and said the road was expected to be closed for at least two hours.
