PMPD gives CRA scammer a bad time

No call is too small for the Port Moody Police Department — even when it comes from a scammer.

Last week a member of the PoMo police was targeted by the notorious Canada Revenue Agency scam that has bilked millions of dollars from people, including vulnerable seniors.

Const. Jason Maschke decided to call the scammers back and record the call on video — with hilarious results.

With stalling techniques and some questioning of his own, Maschke turned the tables on the scammer, who claimed to be Officer Nick, to the point where the individual on the other end of the line gave up and ended the call.

Word to the wise, don’t fall victim to scams, the force wrote on Twitter.
