Letter: After-hours parking enforcement in Port Coquitlam is not in the Christmas spirit

"Everyone in Port Coquitlam has been affected and inconvenienced by the construction around the community centre," says the letter writer.

Parking has been an issue since the renovated Port Coquitlam community centre opened this year.

The Editor,

Dear owner of the parking lot on Wilson Avenue opposite the newly renovated Port Coquitlam community centre.

Thank you so much for the early Christmas present you gave me at 9:10 p.m. one night this past week. I understand the lot is for the customers of the businesses at the medical offices in your building. Having parking attendants watching your lot when the businesses have been closed for more than four hours is very neighbourly.

Everyone in Port Coquitlam has been affected and inconvenienced by the construction around the community centre. How do cars parking in an empty parking lot affect your business while the businesses are closed? Perhaps a bit of Christmas spirit is in order.
