Re. "OPINION: Back to school the best decision for our family" (The Tri-City News, June 9)

Thank you to Mario Bartel, the reporter who wrote how happy his son was to go back to school this month.

I am a retired teacher who worked in the Coquitlam School District and it is so good to hear from a parent that his son is enjoying going to class with his friends and his teacher again.

Teachers have a lot to deal with each day with planning lessons, being creative and encouraging all students to do their best so it is wonderful to receive recognition from parents that understand their 'plates are full', so to speak.

Much appreciated Mario.
