Re. "Port Moody pub owner expands into pot sales in historic downtown" (The Tri-City News, June 11)
I was pleased to read in your latest edition that the owner of St. James Well has been given the go ahead to open a cannabis store on Clark Street.
Mr. Abelman is the latest local owner of St. James Well, which is now celebrating it's 21st year in business. During that time, it has provided safe, clean surroundings with a genuine local neighbourhood atmosphere.
I'm pleased to see that a local entrepreneur is willing to invest his time, energy and money in a local venture instead of a nameless, faceless operation.
Good for Port Moody council and good for Mr. Abelman.
