After the jolt of a coaching change powered the Coquitlam Adanacs to their first win of their Western Lacrosse Association season last Friday, they got right back to the business of losing Saturday.

The Langley Thunder scored three unanswered goals in the third period at the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex to break open the narrow 9-8 advantage they held heading into the frame.

Until then, it had largely been a seesaw game that Coquitlam led 1-0 after Matt Delmonico scored 1:13 after the opening faceoff, and 7-6 midway through the second period.

Dean Fairall had a goal and four assists to lead all Adanacs’ scorers, while Matt Delmonico scored twice and set up another two. Christian Del Bianco stopped 41 of the 53 shots he faced.

The Adanacs and Thunder will play a rematch Wednesday, 7:30 p.m., at the Langley Events Centre.
