Baseball champs headed to New Jersey

The West Coast Cardinals, that is comprised of players from Coquitlam, Port Moody, Port Coquitlam and Vancouver minor baseball, are heading to Flemington, N.J. for the U15 Summer Finale after the team won the BC provincial championship in Chilliwack Aug. 6.

The Cardinals defeated Delta Orange 2 in the championship final, 5-2.

In New Jersey, the team will be among 20 top teams from around North America that will compete from Aug. 24 to 26 at the Jack Cust baseball academy.
