Port Coquitlam's Chris Glenn, who built and raced bathtubs for 40 years, before passing away Jan. 11. A celebration of his life will be held at the PoCo recreation complex March 2.

A celebration of life for a Port Coquitlam plumber known for riding the waves in a bathtub will be held next weekend.

Chris Glenn lost a battle with prostate cancer passing away on Jan. 11 at the age of 62.

Even after his diagnosis, Glenn participated in bathtub races, a passion of his that began in the 1970s and included building bathtubs for other racers.

The celebration will be held in the Mabbett Room of the Port Coquitlam Recreation Complex, where Glenn played lots of recreation hockey, on Saturday, March 2, 4 p.m.
