The Simon Fraser University Clan men’s soccer team go into Thursday’s match against Northwest Nazaren University at the top-ranked team in the NCAA national rankings. They’re also on a nine-game winning streak following a 1-0 defeat of Concordia University last Thursday at home.

Coquitlam’s Matteo Polisi leads the Great Northwest Athletic Conference in scoring with nine goals and eight assists. His 26 total points are four more than teammate Connor Glennon. Three of Polisi’s goals have also been game winners.

The Clan play Seattle Pacific University in Seattle on Sunday and then travel to Portland, Or., for a game against Concordia on Oct. 11. Their next home game is Oct. 14, against Western Washington University.
