Coquitlam’s Graham Miller scored 12 points to help his Simon Fraser University Clan men’s basketball team to a 127-75 rout of the Trinity Western University Spartans Sunday at SFU.
Miller, a sophomore out of Dr. Charles Best secondary, went four-for-six in field goals, drained two of his four attempts from the three-point arc and succeeded on both his free throw attempts in 19 minutes of playing time. He also pulled down a team-leading six rebounds.
Miller was one of seven Clan players to score double figures in the exhibition contest: Othniel Spence and Wilfred Balata scored 20 points each; Jasdeep Singh had 19; Julian Roche netted 18; Drew Bryson scored 17 and Michael Provenzano had 10.
The Clan led 71-34 at halftime and outscored the Spartans 56-41 in the second half to improve their overall record to seven wins and three losses.
