Quinn Hughes highlights with Looney Tunes Road Runner sound effects make so much sense [VIDEO]

Quinn Hughes is the Roadrunner

Just call Quinn Hughes the Road Runner.

The famed Looney Tunes character has blazing speed. So does Quinn Hughes. The Road Runner makes his opponent, Wile E. Coyote, look silly. Quinn Hughes makes his opponents look silly almost every shift. The Road Runner only says "meep meep" and eats bird seed. Okay, so they're not exactly alike.

Inspired by a play-by-play commentator (Ed. note: USA Hockey commentator Pete Krupsky) drawing a parallel between Hughes and the speedy flightless fowl, Twitter user and Redditor Matt Foulger decided to mash up some of Hughes' highlights with the Road Runner's signature sound effects.

The end result is delightful.

The highlights and sound effects are great, but I really appreciate some of the added bonuses that Foulger throws in. Like changing "Warner Bros" at the beginning to "Hughes Bros" and switching the "W" in the Warner Bros. logo to an "H" shows great attention to detail. There's also the faux Latin name for Hughes — skator incredibilis — reflecting the absurd Latin names in the original cartoons.

Hughes is going to be so much fun to watch as a Canuck and it's easy to see from clips like this why he believes he could play in the NHL as early as next season. His agility and acceleration are going to make him hard to hit, even at the NHL level.
