The Port Coquitlam Cardinals had a strong under-11 B.C. Provincial AA Tournament at Lionel Courchene Park in Surrey last week but came up short in the finals against the host team.

After a brilliant come-from-behind victory in the semifinals against the Sunshine Coast, which included a four-run inning in the fifth, the Cards struggled to put up runs in the championship game, where they fell 5-0 to Surrey.

On their way to the finals, PoCo defeated Mission in the preliminary round 12-7 and their second-place showing among the ten teams at the tournament caps a successful season for the club.

The team is made up of Jacob Bergot, William Harding Paul, Travis Buck, Derek Devera, Ryan Sam, Marcus Lindholm, patriks Ludwig, Lucas Michaud, Cameron Markel,  Katelyn Buckles, Will Reimer and Jordan Glowinkowski.
