The Riverside Rapids were gracious hosts for the annual Red Serge Classic senior girls high school volleyball tournament last weekend. The Rapids, ranked 10th in the province prior to the tournament, finished fourth. They lost the consolation final to Lord Tweedsmuir, in two straight sets.
The province's top-ranked team, the Belmont Bulldogs, won the tournament, defeating Pacific Academy two sets to one in Saturday's final.
Riverside's Sophie Wong was named to the tournament's all-star team.
