B.C.’s best bantam hockey team is this Prince George program

North Central Bobcats went undefeated as hosts of 2019 provincial tournament

The North Central Bobcats stand alone on top of B.C. Hockey’s podium this week.

On Thursday night (March 21), the ‘Cats annihilated the North Vancouver Storm in the gold medal game of the 2018-19 B.C. Provincial Bantam Tier One Championships by a score of 6-1.

The Prince George-based hockey team claimed the banner easily, going undefeated at the Kin Centre in regulation with a record of 5-0-1. 

North Central tied the Storm 1-1 in the first game of the five-day tournament.

Scoring was also not a problem for the host Bobcats, potting a combined 36-13 against all opponents. 

Other teams that participated in the Provincial championships included North East, Okanagan North, Cloverdale, and the Victoria Racquet Club.
