The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce (TCCC) is gearing up to host its first of three scheduled all-candidates debates tonight (Sept. 22).

And all eyes will be on mayor and council hopefuls running in Coquitlam for the 2022 municipal election — set for Oct. 15.

The Evergreen Culture Centre (1205 Pinetree Way) will serve as the backdrop for the forum as candidates are set to speak to local residents on issues that matter to them.

Up until today, there have been some meet-and-greets put together by local organizations where candidates shared their platforms and reasons for campaigning.

Topics and questions are set to be delivered by a moderator, as well as from audience members during the session.

The TCCC oversees and guides more than 900 businesses, non-profits and home-based entrepreneurs in the region.

Its all-candidates meeting tonight, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., is free to attend with no registration required, but seating will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Those that can't attend in person can livestream the forum via the Chamber's website.
