A man has plead guilty in connection to multiple indecent act incidents in New Westminster early last year.

New West police (NWPD) explain Rickie Diguistini plead guilty to charges earlier this month in relation to masturbating allegations outside local residences.

Officers issued a warning on Feb. 11, 2021, after the department received three reports of a man committing indecent acts in the Connaught Heights and West End neighbourhoods.

In all instances, police say occupants in the homes saw a man outside their basement window allegedly masturbating.

After receiving reports about the suspicious male, police searched the area — with the assistance of a K9 team — but couldn’t find anyone matching the suspect description.

NWPD spokesperson Sgt. Justine Thom said Diguistini plead guilty to three charges, including two of committing an indecent act in a public place, as well as a guilty plea for breach or probation.

"We are pleased with the outcome of this trial," Thom said in a news release today (July 27).

"This conclusion was made possible due to witnesses calling 9-1-1 and passing along photographs of the suspect. We also hope this provides some level of resolution to those affected by this individual’s actions."
