Search for missing Whistlerite Clorrica Riggs continues into fourth day

The 29-year-old was last seen in Whistler at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, before her car was found at the Rainbow Lake trailhead.

Friends, loved ones and neighbours are continuing the search for Clorrica Riggs, a Whistler resident who has been missing since Tuesday, Aug. 23. 

The 29-year-old was last seen in Whistler at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Her vehicle was later found parked at the Rainbow Lake trailhead on Alta Lake Road. 

Riggs is white woman with a fair complexion, brown eyes, long, straight brown hair and a slim build. She stands at five feet (152 cm) tall and weighs approximately 119 lbs (54 kg). According to friends, she was last seen wearing black spandex Nike shorts, a dark blue/grey T-shirt, grey/teal running shoes and carrying a black Helly Hansen backpack. 

She has several tattoos, including flowers and a bird on her ankle, a lotus symbol on her ankle, an ohm symbol on her left hand, a larger design featuring a fairy and mushrooms on her right tricep, a triangle on one of her fingers, script on her hip and half of a yin-yang symbol on her wrist, among others. 

Friends headed out Saturday, Aug. 27 to search the areas around Lost Lake, Green Lake and Alta Lake, and invited the community to join in the effort. 

In a Facebook post, locals were asked to "Keep and eye out on drop offs, lookout points, and near water."

The post continued, "If you want to help search we’re asking people to look around her frequent spots which are Wedge Mountain and Rainbow Lake. As well as in town near nature spots. Please continue to share awareness so we can bring Clorrica home safely."
