Someone who purchased a Lotto Max ticket in Greater Victoria is $35 million richer after Tuesday evening’s draw — the second time this year a local ticket has proved to be a big winner.

The latest ticket matched all seven numbers, as did one other ticket bought in Ontario. The two ticket-holders will split the $70-million jackpot.

No one had come forward to claim the Greater Victoria ticket as of Wednesday afternoon, Shelley Wong, B.C. Lottery Corp. spokesperson said.

Winners have 52 weeks to redeem the ticket.

“If you think you have a winning lottery ticket, just sign it and keep it in a safe place and do what you have to do to get your affairs in order,” Wong said.

Tuesday’s winning jackpot numbers were: 4, 7, 13, 16, 31, 32, and 39.

Odds of winning a Lotto Max jackpot are one in 33.3 million per $5 play.

The outlet where the ticket was purchased isn’t revealed until the winner is announced.

Sidney financial manager Scott Gurney won $55 million in the Feb. 28 Lotto Max draw — the largest win on Vancouver Island.

The largest Lotto Max win in B.C. was in September 2021 with a $70-million ticket.
