Law enforcement officers will be joining with Special Olympics athletes in serving up pizza and awareness of the international sporting event in Coquitlam next week.

On Wednesday, Nov. 14, between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., members of the Port Moody police, Coquitlam RCMP and Metro Vancouver Transit Police will team up with athletes to serve customers, take donations and raise awareness for the Special Olympics.

The Cops, Pops and Pizza campaign will be at Boston Pizza at 3025 Lougheed Highway in Coquitlam.

“This is an opportunity for the public to meet our athletes and donate to a great cause,” stated Cons. Amy Wilcott in a press release. “We do this because we believe in supporting our communities and raising awareness for the Special Olympics”.
