Fraser Health issued coronavirus exposure warnings to dance competitions held at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel and the Clarion Hotel and Conference Centre last week.

Fraser Health is warning the public of several recent coronavirus (COVID-19) exposures at dance competitions held in Surrey and Abbotsford.

The exposures took place at the Synergy Dance Competition held at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel in Surrey on May 7 between 9:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. The Core Dance Competition held in the Clarion Hotel and Conference Centre in Abbotsford saw exposures on May 5 and 8 between 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Another exposure on May 6 was reported to have taken place between 4:30 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Fraser Health has a running list of locations that have been identified for possible exposure to COVID-19 and while the health authority states being inside one of these locations during the exposure times doesn’t mean you will contract the virus, you should self-monitor for symptoms.

"There is no known risk to anyone who attended any listed locations outside of the specified dates and times. If people remain healthy and do not develop symptoms, there is no need to self-isolate and people can continue with their usual daily activities," explains Fraser Health.

If you develop any symptoms of COVID-19, please seek testing and then self-isolate, urges the health authority.
