Three Tri-City teens will be among a group of dancers who will be representing Canada at the World Hip Hop championships in Germany this month.

Kristina Nishi-Beckingham, Taylor Lintott and Brittany Tucker auditioned and won spots on Team Canada and will compete in Bochum, Germany from Sept. 24 to 28. Lintott and Tucker will be competing on the senior team while Nishi-Beckingham will compete on the junior team.

The group has been fundraising since August, with events listed on their Facebook page (Team Canada Hip Hop 2014), and training under noted hip hop choreographer Paul Otterbein.

Their last fundraising event before leaving for Germany is a showcase at the Langley Arts Centre on Sept. 21, where the young dancers will be showing their numbers and dancing with guest performers from around the city. Admission is by donation.
