Theatrix Youtheatre Society heads into Sherwood Forest for its spring production of The Twisted Tale of Robin Hood.

Saturday, the Coquitlam-based theatre company will hold auditions for actors — aged 7 to 16 — to be a part of the comedy, which tours elementary schools in May and June.

Auditions take place at Dogwood Pavilion (1655 Winslow Ave., Coquitlam) from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 19; young thespians will be asked sing a song of their choice, read from a script or show a performance skill.

As well, cast members will help write a new version of the play — in the style of Monty Python.
