Get your boxes: Tri-City Girl Guides now selling chocolate, vanilla cookies

Girl Guides in the Chimo district were in Port Coquitlam this week to offer the treats for $6 a box.

The Girl Guides are back to selling their spring cookies in person after three years of pandemic restrictions.

This week, Tri-City Sparks, Guides and Pathfinders set up a kiosk in downtown Port Coquitlam to offer the classic chocolate and vanilla sandwich cookies.

According to the organization’s website, Girl Guide cookies are the official fundraiser for the group, with proceeds paying for leadership and educational programs.

More than four million cookie boxes are sold in Canada each year: the chocolate/vanilla in the spring and the chocolate mint flavour in the fall.

The cookies cost $6 per box.
