A town hall meeting in Coquitlam will be held on May 9, 2023.

Do think it's safe to walk around Coquitlam City Centre?

Should there be washrooms at more municipal parks?

Are there enough civic officers to enforce bylaws?

If you want to speak up about city hall services and programs, council and civic staff will be taking notes from Coquitlam residents at a town hall meeting scheduled for next month.

On May 9 from 7 to 9 p.m., the public will have the floor in the council chambers — and via an online platform — to voice compliments or complaints about the municipality.

Feedback from the forum will be used to guide elected officials and senior staff with future policies and procedures; participants can also hear about upcoming area plans.

To join the discussion, you can take part in person at Coquitlam city hall (3000 Guildford Way) or sign up for the Zoom webinar.

For the virtual component, you can use the "Raise Hand" feature to ask a question or utilize the town hall link on Slido's website.

You can also email a question to [email protected] with "Town Hall" in the subject line.

Alternately, the city's social media channels will be open using the hashtag #CQTownhall.

To watch the town hall meeting live, you can visit the webcasts page on the City of Coquitlam's website.

A recording will be up the following day by noon and the minutes will be available in June.
