RCMP locate and arrest 'violent' escaped inmate in Metro Vancouver (PHOTOS)

The inmate who escaped has been arrested.

***Update as of Friday (Jan. 14) at 10 a.m.: Surrey RCMP is updating the public that the inmate who was reported to have escaped lawful custody has been located and arrested.*

An inmate who has a history of violent offences has escaped from a Metro Vancouver pretrial services centre and is considered to be unlawfully at large.

Surrey RCMP is asking for the public to help locate 32-year-old Mustafa Sa’Ada, who has a history of violent offences and was in custody for robbery at the Surrey Pretrial Services Centre.

On Thursday (Jan. 13) at 12:46 p.m., police were notified that the inmate fled from the custody of correctional officers at the centre, which is located at 14323 57th Ave.

Surrey RCMP along with Integrated Police Dog Services are actively searching for Sa’Ada who is considered to be unlawfully at large.

Sa’Ada is described as a 32-year-old, Middle Eastern male, 5’8, slim build, wearing a grey sweater, dark brown/grey pants and one white shoe (see attached image of clothing).

If you see him, do not approach him, call 911 immediately.
