Spring break alert: The carnival is back in Coquitlam next week

West Coast Amusements returns to the mall parking lot with rides, games and food from March 22 to 26.

If you’re looking to keep the spring breakers busy next week, take them to the carnival by Coquitlam Centre.

West Coast Amusements returns to the mall parking lot with rides, games and food from March 22 to 26.

Try out the Scrambler, Hurricane and the ferris wheel or, for younger riders, take a spin in Kiddieland.

And fill up on cotton candy, candied apples and mini doughnuts from the dozen or so vendors on site.

Run by the Hauser family, the B.C.-based company is the largest midway operation in western Canada.

It has more than 125 rides in its four units that travel annually to 100 fairs and rodeos from April to September.

In Coquitlam, the carnival runs from noon to 10 p.m. (except March 26, until 6 p.m.) from March 22 to 26.

The cost for a regular-priced wristband is $45 and includes access to all rides for one day (not food and drinks).

Single tickets are $1.25 while the red book (20 coupons) is $25 and the blue book (40 coupons) is $45.

Each ride takes between three and six coupons.
