The society starts the fall season on Sept. 26 with a look back at First Nations heritage. "The Story of the Man that was Turned to Stone, T'xwelatse" will be presented by Naxaxalhts'i Albert (Sonny) McHalsie.

McHalsie is the cultural advisor/historian of the Sto:lo Research and Resource Management Centre. He is an author and co-author of several books, and has been featured in television documentaries on CBC, APTN and Omni.

The presentation takes place next Thursday at 7 p.m. at Heritage at Leigh Square, 2100-2253 Leigh Sq., PoCo.
