A provincially recognized charity that provides housing and support for aboriginal teen moms and fosters teens is opening up a Christmas tree lot in Coquitlam in time for the holiday season.
Aunt Leah's Place is selling trees to raise funds for programs at Eagle Ridge United Church, 2813 Glen Dr., Coquitlam. Starting this week, trees will be for sale Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Dec. 23.
Aunt Leah's received the 2009 award of excellence from Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond, the B.C. representative for children and youths, for the society's work with foster kids.
