Baby & pre-school storytimes at Port Mood library

Babies and pre-schoolers can learn and play this winter at the Port Moody Public Library (PMPL). Infants up to 18 months and their caregivers can drop in for songs, rhymes and stories in PMPL's Baby Sing and Learn program.

Infants up to 18 months and their caregivers can drop in for songs, rhymes and stories in PMPL's Baby Sing and Learn program. Participants will meet other new parents and find out about bonding, community resources and language development in a safe, supportive environment. This program runs Thursdays,10:30 to 11:15 a.m. - a new day and time for these sessions - or 2 to 2:45 p.m. The program runs Jan. 24 to May 30.

Pre-school Storytime is an energetic program for kids ages two to five years, with parent or caregiver participation. Children will build language skills with books, rhymes and songs, and enrich their imaginations with stories and games in a group setting. Pre-school storytime runs every Monday, 10 to 10:30 a.m. (new day and time) from Jan. 21 to May 27.

For working parents, kids up to six years are invited to PMPL's monthly Twilight Tales storytime. Come in your pyjamas for relaxing stories and songs to end a busy day. Siblings are welcome at this gentle bedtime program. Twilight Tales runs on the last Tuesday of the month, 6:30 to 7 p.m. Dates are Jan. 29, Feb. 26, March 26 and April 30.
