You can enjoy a barbecue or sell some stuff at two events next week at Coquitlam's Glen Pine Pavilion:
Summer BBQ with Pancho & Sal: The Spirit Square, in front of Glen Pine, hosts the barbecue Aug. 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sounds of Latin folk and rumba will come from Pancho and Sal. For $7.25, you will get a beef, turkey or veggie burger plus potato salad and a drink. If you choose not to have lunch, admission is free.
Neighbourhood swap meet: Load up the trunk of your car or your pick-up truck with items you no longer need and drive down to Glen Pine Pavilion on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Drop off your goods at the community centre and park at Coquitlam city hall parking lot off of Burlington Drive. Tables are assigned to sellers at time of registration; cost is $12 per table for Glen Pine members and $15 for others. To register, call 604-927-6940.
Glen Pine Pavilion, located at 1200 Glen Pine Crt., is a Coquitlam recreation facility for people 50 years and older.
