Belcarra fresh air hike

You can enjoy the benefits of the sea breeze and the forest air on Saturday with a fresh air hike at Belcarra Regional Park. A Metro Vancouver park interpreter will lead a walk from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. along the Admiralty Trail to Burns Point.

You can enjoy the benefits of the sea breeze and the forest air on Saturday with a fresh air hike at Belcarra Regional Park.

A Metro Vancouver park interpreter will lead a walk from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. along the Admiralty Trail to Burns Point. Hikers will travel along the shoreline and take in views of Burrard Inlet through a west coast forest with towering Douglas fir, hemlock and cedar trees while learning about the ecosystem at the park.

The walk is for people 13 years of age and older. Cost is $3.35 per person for youths and seniors, $5.50 for adults.

Coq. Found. fundraiser

Burgers, brews and bids are on the agenda next week for a pub night for the Coquitlam Foundation.

A silent auction, starting at 6 p.m., will be part of the foundation fundraiser March 6 at Woody's on Brunette.

A $20 ticket buys attendees a burger and a beer or wine and evening will feature a 50/50 draw in addition to the silent auction.
