Businesses that go above and beyond to recognize children with visual impairments will be recognized Saturday at the annual Blind Beginnings Gala in Coquitlam this Saturday.

Tickets are still available for the April 7 event that serves as a fundraiser for the non-profit organization, which aims to provide skills and support to more than 700 children who are blind or partially sighted in B.C.

This year’s gala dinner and auction takes place at the Executive Plaza Hotel and Conference Centre, 405 North Rd., Coquitlam. Doors open at 6 p.m., dinner is at 7 p.m.
