Your chance to capture Port Moody in a positive light is just a click away.

The city of Port Moody is looking for images to adorn its 2014 city calendar. They're asking residents to submit images that reflect the best of Port Moody, showing the city is a great place to live, work and play.

Those chosen will receive a photo credit and see their work included on the 12,000 calendars distributed by the city. Selected images may also be featured online at www.portmoody.ca as well as on the city's social media pages.

Images should be jpeg files and at least 300 dpi resolution. Photos should be "landscape" style to fit the calendar's format, and as the calendar images will be 12x9 inches, photos should be as large as possible. There is a limit of 10 photos per entrant and because the images need to be so large, they should be submitted on a CD and not by email. A model release is needed for any person appearing in the photo and heavily retouched images are not eligible.

Entries should include the photographer's name, telephone number and email address, and should include a brief description of where and when the photo was taken along with any interesting circumstances.

The deadline to submit photos is Oct. 15. Drop off your images at the Port Moody city hall reception desk, or mail your CD to Port Moody Corporate Communications, PO Box 36, 100 Newport Dr., Port Moody, B.C. V3H 3E1.
